Objectives

The objectives of ABCB are:

• Representation

To liaise with and influence bodies whose activities are relevant to the operations of members through informed representation and to represent members' interests to such bodies


• Effective Operation

To promote conditions to support and encourage efficient and profitable certification and/or notification by members and to pursue consistent application of standards


• Status of Certification and/or Notification

To increase awareness of the role, value and integrity of independent third party certification and/or notification


• Information & Advice

To provide members with timely and, where appropriate, targeted information and advice.


• External Relationships

To establish and maintain close working relationships within UKAS, Government and other bodies involved in conformity assessment.


• Membership

To promote awareness of the benefits of Association membership with the aim of maximising its strength
